This limitation is there due to security from the dev team to have the ability to handle the different DB types (Oracle, SQLServer, PostgreSQL).

When creating a simple attribute I see that the "physical column name" is limited to 25 characters. Is it possible to increase (or decrease) this? The column name and label can be longer, this can cause truncation of the physical column name.
We use SQL Server and I see that in the INFORMATION_SCHEMA --> COLUMNS view the "Column name" attribute has a length of 128.
Is the 25 character limiter a setting within the application developer, or is this set within the database somewhere? I've gotten this question a couple of times. Please let me know if you need more information. Thanks in advance
